Runescape Money Making Guide

Runescape is one of the most popular free to join massively multi-player online games (MMOG) on the market today. And since it’s a browser game, you don’t need to install anything to begin playing, nor do you need to spend any money to play unless you want some of the more advanced bonus features of the game.

This has led to its immense popularity and huge player base, with gamers from all over the world joining to compete and play together in a vast fantasy world. Of course, one of the first questions asked by new players and veterans alike in any MMOG is “How do I make money in this game?” Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to make money in Runescape, most of them simple and easy, and there is a Runescape Money Making Guide available as well.

The most straight forward method of making money is simply by killing different enemy creatures in the world, collecting the drops, and selling them to other players via the Grand Exchange. Of course, some creatures drop more valuable items than others, so knowing which ones to hunt and what items sell best is essential.

Runescape Money Making Guide Tip #1: Get Achievements

Some of them also require a certain rank of Slayer achievement, which you will earn as you kill lower level NPCs along the way, making killing enemy mobs a doubly efficient way of making money and upping your level.

To start with, try killing low level chickens and selling their feathers. Feathers should net you several gold pieces each, which will be something to start on. Because they have low hit points, chickens are also relatively fast to kill, so collecting feathers can really add up.

Giants of all kinds also have some great drops to sell. Moss Giants, for example, drop Big Bones that swell for a few hundred gold a piece, and Fire Giants have a chance to drop a Fire Battlestaff that can go upwards of 7000 gold or more. These are a big higher level, so you will have to work your way up to them.

Dragons, especially Green Dragons, drop valuable Dragonhide which crafters use to make into armor to be sold to other players. Lesser demons are good to farm, too, as they drop a Rune Medium Helm that can be sold for about 500 gold.

Playing the Grand Exchange is a fast way to make some money once you have a little gold saved up. All you have to do is scan for items going for cheaper than normal price, buy them out, and re-sell them for more. It may take a little time to get used to this method, but it definitely works and once you get good, you can make a lot of gold fast.

Fishing for lobster, shark and other seafood can also yield quite a bit of gold, as every player in the game needs food to consume during combat. Along with resource gathering, this is one sure way to solve the “How do I make money” question in Runescape.
